Welcome to the Winding Road Writing Club. It’s actually a 3-month writing workshop for a fee which I’m hosting. It means you are serious about doing more writing and willing to share your writing with others, and read their writing as well. I’m an ESL teacher, an American living in Malaysia. I’ve set up a Google group to manage this writing workshop, which I need to promote if I’m going to launch it.
Starting this writing club is in the way of an experiment for me, as an additional source of income, but also because it’s something that I’d like to do for fun.
It’s like most things in life, the more you put into it, the more you’ll get out of it. If you can commit to writing at least 30 minutes a day, and then block out longer stretches of 2-3 hours a couple days a week, that a pretty good commitment. Remember writing’s a process, and you may want to allocate time for rewriting as well. Also for reviewing other club members writing and giving them feedback.
Actually I’m just providing the structure to encourage people who want to develop themselves as writers. I’ll act as coach and mentor
